What we repair

Heat pump and condenser dryers

Most Siemens dryers in the UAE are heat pump dryers from the iQ500 and iQ700 ranges, along with older condenser models. Neither needs a vent through the wall. Instead, they collect the water from your clothes in a tank or send it down a drain.

The thing that trips most dryers up is lint. It builds up on the door filter, the condenser and the heat exchanger, slowly blocking the airflow. Drying times creep up, clothes stay damp, and eventually the dryer cuts out. Some iQ700 models have a selfCleaning condenser, which helps, but the door filter still needs emptying every time.

Other common faults are the water pump that lifts water to the tank, worn drive belts, noisy drum rollers, and moisture sensors that stop reading properly.

Clean the filters every loadEmpty the lint filter in the door after every cycle. It takes ten seconds and prevents most drying problems.
Rinse the condenserIf your model has a flap at the bottom front, the condenser behind it needs rinsing under the tap every month or so. Let it dry before refitting.

Tank light on, tank emptyWater pump blocked or failedCheck the drain hose if it's plumbed in. Otherwise the pump needs checking.
Drum not turningBroken drive belt or motorCheck the door is fully closed. If the motor hums but the drum doesn't move, it's likely the belt.

How we work

What happens on a dryer visit

We run the dryer, measure what's happening and find the cause. You get the price first and decide whether to go ahead. Where lint has built up inside the dryer, we clean it as part of the repair, because a new part in a blocked dryer won't last.

Repairs come with a [[WARRANTY PERIOD]] warranty on parts and labour.

We visit homes for Siemens dryer repair in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah. Call or WhatsApp to check the earliest time for your area.

Prevention

Getting the best from your dryer

  • Spin clothes at a high speed in the washer first. Less water means faster drying.
  • Empty the water tank after every load if it isn't plumbed into a drain.
  • Don't dry items with loose threads or heavy lint, like new towels, with delicate fabrics.
  • Keep the room ventilated. Heat pump dryers work best below about 30°C room temperature.
Questions

Dryer repair questions

My heat pump dryer takes almost three hours. Is it faulty?

Probably not. Heat pump dryers work at lower temperatures, so a full cycle often takes two to three hours. That's how they save energy. It's worth a check if the time has grown noticeably compared to when the dryer was new, or if the clothes are still damp at the end.

Clothes are still damp after a full cycle. What should I check?

Clean the lint filter in the door, and the second filter if your model has one. Then check the condenser: on many Siemens models it sits behind a flap at the bottom front and needs rinsing. Also make sure the dryer isn't overloaded. If all three are fine, the sensor, heat pump or fan may be the problem.

The 'empty water tank' light stays on even when the tank is empty.

This usually means the water isn't reaching the tank. The pump that lifts water up to the tank may be blocked or failed, or the float in the tank may be stuck. We can clear or replace the pump.

Can I use my dryer in a small cupboard?

Heat pump dryers need some air around them, and they work worse in a hot, closed space. If your dryer is in a small laundry cupboard, leave the door open while it runs.

Do you repair vented dryers?

Yes, though most Siemens dryers in the UAE are condenser or heat pump models. With vented dryers, the main thing to check is the vent hose, which can get blocked with lint and cause overheating.
